It's Just a Wooden Spoon

I created this game as a solo project for my major project at Otago Polytechnic. You live on Earth, one of many planets overrun by the alien government, despite the takeover, humans and aliens coexist peacefully for the most part.

You are a normal middle-aged man living an ordinary middle-aged life. You have an alien wife and a young alien daughter. Technology has advanced rapidly including advancements in space travel allowing for commercial flights between planets and solar systems. You work your mundane security job in the spaceport and scrape by with the little money you earn. As an interplanetary aviation security officer, you control who departs the planet and what they bring with them. Your responsibility is to thoroughly inspect all passengers' bags, making sure no illegal items slip through. You are paid handsomely for every correct passenger you accept or deny entry to, but be careful – if a passenger is wrongly accepted or denied under your watch, a hefty penalty will be deducted from your paycheck.

It is the week of Christmas and your alien daughter is pestering you about some toy that she has been dreaming of (It's Just a Wooden Spoon). You finally cave and promise you will get her that toy. You now have three days before Christmas and need to make up the money for that wooden spoon fast. To what extent are you willing to compromise your morals to achieve this goal?
